Business Manager
(Responsible to the Pastor and Church Council) Salary range:
$24-26,000

Maintains church membership
records, in bound print & in an electronic form.

Handles correspondence.

Oversees the maintenance of all
four buildings in consultation with the pastor and the
Trustees. Notifies the Chair of Trustees when repairs are
needed.

Maintains church meeting
minutes.
-
Maintains the church calendar
and scheduling of rooms, keys, fees use agreements, and video
equipment.

Distributes announcements and
minutes through e-mail, mailboxes, and mail.

Prepares and submits the weekly
brief for the Manhattan Mercury.

Prepares and publishes the
Charge Conference reports.
-
Helps the pastor and church
staff as needed.
-
Prepares conference reports such
as the Tables and Healthy Congregations.
-
Keeps building use contracts and
policies up to date.

Maintains lists of volunteers:
greeters, ushers, MESI casseroles, worship leaders, etc.

Prepares announcements and words
of the songs for video presentation in worship.

Maintains the bulletin insert
including concerns and announcements and special offerings.

Maintains office supplies &
equipment.

Supports commissions,
committees, ministry groups with needed supplies.

Facilitates communication
through e-mail, websites, bulk mailings, direct mail, and the
newspaper church page.

Manages the phone for church
staff, and for the Early Learning Center when needed.

Schedules and maintains
insurance coverage for the buildings and health insurance for
certain employees in coordination with the church treasurer and
Trustees.

Files yearly State of Kansas
incorporation reports.
