College
Avenue United Methodist Church Our History
During the fall semester of 1955, a small group of Kansas State
University Students, related to the Evangelical United Brethren Church
met to establish a covenant group. A pastor was first appointed
in 1958. Damage done to buildings by a tornado and a fire did
not diminish the continuing work of the Holy Spirit to build the
church (people). In 1968, the church merged with the Methodist
Church and became the College Avenue United Methodist Church.
Since its beginnings, College Avenue has offered spiritual warmth and
has challenged spiritual growth.
